The Best Music of 2025

Usually when writing the obligatory text for my annual best music of the year mix I try to include a sardonic summary of the most consequential world happenings, but at this point I'm not sure it would be safe for me to describe the events of 2025 without first consulting a dedicated team of mental health professionals and at least one member of the clergy. I'm also not at the point where I'm fully convinced it wasn't just some sort of elaborate fever dream, and at any moment my mom is going to wake me up and tell me that it's time to go to school.
